Mel Lewis is BBC live events coordinator and Radio 1 music team’s assistant producer. Mel is also Southampton Solent University’s Journalism graduate.

Mel coordinates large and small scale award winning BBC Radio 1, 1Xtra, 2, 6 Music and BBC Introducing live events. She has worked with BBC production teams, external contractors, radio and music industry representatives and suppliers. Event capacities range from intimate shows with 40 ticketed audience, to 55,000 (Hyde Park).
